ICI Assignment 1

Project 1A: 

   1.    To summarize lecture 1 & 2 and illustrate your understanding in any form of graphics presentation.-e.g mind mapping, flow chart etc.
2.   You are encouraged to incorporate additional information as elaboration or explanation of   information and presentation.
3.   You may use any techniques of illustration and graphic such as to enhance the creativity and attractiveness of your presentation
4.   All presentation must be hand written and hand drawn. Any submission with printing and sticking will not be accepted.

ICI project 1A is an group assignment, this is a first group assignment for subject Introduction to Construction Industry, my group held a few meetings to divide our members' part in doing the graphic presentation, we first started off summarizing the lecture 1 & 2 which is posted on Times, we first study the lecture slides and understand it before we summarize it. Then we decided to do the design at the back for the presentation at the cardboard, since it is about construction industry, we decided to use buildings, bricks and the tower crane in the middle to highlight the title of the presentation. After all the drawings and colorings, we start off with the summary, we wrote it in point form for better understandings through short and simple sentences.

Project 1B: 

1.     To create a collage illustrating a particular ‘CONSTRUCTION INDUSTRY AND CONTEXT WITHIN’ which you are concerned of. For example (but not limited to):

-        CI and Me

-        CI and Community

-        CI vs Nature

-        CI  and Facilities

-        CI and global warming

-        CI and Environment

-        Etc

-        ‘ My Place, My Memories… ’

To create a photo collage illustrating natural and built environment in your birthplace or place where you grew up.

2.     Format : Printed images/photos, minimize handwriting/text

For ICI project 1B, I must fulfill all the requirement written above. I can choose our own title, my title of this assignment is Construction Industry & The Environment. In the background, I've shown that the big trees from the left fades to chopped logs then the skyscrapers, it shows that our future construction industry destroying the environment by chopping down trees and build whatever we want, the main character of this poster is a small boy blowing bubbles, through the bubbles, we can see the reflection of the future buildings, these building are all only in design stage, which the future are full of buildings, the ecosystem is probably ruined and destroyed. For this assignment, I wanted to draw attentions of the public towards deforestation and the environment.
