Business

When I'm told to register for the subject, business, I'm really curious, I thought architecture can never relate to business, but the lecturer proved me wrong after all these lectures I've got for this semester.

At first, I thought business is a really easy subject to handle because, to me, business is basic knowledge we have towards a deal, but then I was really wrong to have all these concept, from these lecture so far, I had learned abut business systems, organizations in providing a good structure to build up a business, managing a business requires good leadership, setting goal, tactics, strategies and so on. Setting up a business also require different departments to take charge of different aspects, so that human resource are finely distributed. Ethnical and social responsibilities are equally important because you are everything you set up, it goes as you control it to be.

For this module's assignments, I realize communication skills are really important because presentation skills during our first assignment, we need to gather logical information then further elaborate it, present it to our audience. And for the final assignment, communication skill is also important in presenting our products during charity drive and report writing, thinking and problem solving skill is also important because we came across a lot problems during the event and need to solve it immediately in order to get things back to normal. I also learn to make full use of ICT because we often upload our videos taken during class presentations and our final project charity drive, so that our submission will be in soft copy instead of using papers and CDs, which is really environmental friendly.

In a nutshell, I'm really grateful that I had studied business for my second semester, it trains me in many different aspects which is leadership, communication skills, interpersonal and interpersonal skills and I had also developed specific knowledge of business. And yea, without our cool lecturer, Joe, the subject would not be that fun and lively, we need to thank him a lot for leading us all the way to the end of the semester.
